One World One Heart is a worldwide event for bloggers. It allows all those who blog a chance to meet and form connections with those whom they may not have otherwise met from EVERYWHERE...all over the world. In the past 4 years this event has grown to over 1,000 participants with lasting friendships (and even one love connection) formed along the way...whoo hoo!!! Lisa says 'Think of it as a GIGANTIC open house allowing you to travel without ever leaving your home........going from blog to blog (in various countries) seeing the wonder each one has created and meeting all the fabulous people behind those blogs'. AND... each blogger who participates will offer a "door prize or sometimes prizes"....just for stopping by, saying hello and seeing their world. It's really easy and FUN!
So with all that said, here's me... and my world!!

I live in a world reflective of me... a 'painted lady' house,
and 2 little doglets.
A few years ago, I bought the 'Learn to Knit in one Day' Book'... they lied, it took more than one day. But I did indeed learn to knit and became kind of obsessed with it. Knitting like a crazy woman, everything from scarves to sweaters, to purses! I especially have enjoyed the felting aspect, so My ONE WORLD ONE HEART gift, is a 8" x 6" purse with hand knitted, felted flowers adorning it.

ReplyDeleteOk first of all I have to say I love your blog header, LOL. It's perfect! And I love the design of your blog as well. Now I have to have you know that I ADORE your felted purse. It's absolutely GORGEOUS! I am really good at a lot of different kinds of arts and crafts but crochet, nitting etc type crafts I have never been able to pick up, just not my thing so I have great respect for those that can do it and you can do it so well. Aimee- I haven't really blogged about them! But you can catch a glimpse of some in photos- there's a large china head peeking out of Christmas presents!! I primarily collect antique dolls, but also have some BJD's but they are kept in the dark... (hehe, just had to say that) seriously, they are kept out of the sun, as they yellow. I think it's time I did showcase some... good thought!!!

Hello Ardith! I'm Wanda in Ohio. I have enjoyed meeting you and your family. Also those two adorable dogs! Your purse is adorable! As for knitting, yes I believe that it would take more than a day. I dropped a stitch once and got all confused and didn't know how to fix it. Something about having to work with two sticks are a coordinated effort! I'd even starve if I had to eat with chop sticks! lol I will stick with one stick, like crocheting or 1 needle as in sewing. Ambidextrous I am not! The hands just don't get along with each other. Sometimes they even fight over the keys on the keyboard! lol

ReplyDeleteHi Ardith, your home is beautiful! I've wanted a Victorian home forever. My home is 110yrs old but is just a simple farm house. It's big and surrounded by huge old trees on 2.5 acres so I call it home. Love your purse, that is so pretty and creative!

Hi I'm kind of a cheeky radish myself. My name is Cindy and I do mixed media and polymer clay. I'm a full time artist that never seems to have enough time. I'm blogging to you from the California coast. Your family is just lovely and so is your blog. I learned how to knit scarfs a few years ago, but I couldn't cast off. So I would go to Wal mart and buy another set of needles and just leave the other scarfs on the old ones. After awhile I had too many needle and scarf sets to ignore, so I had to figure it out.
